Featured Replies

hi guys have a 02 4x4 1.8t estate which i am over the moon with but just need to sort a few niggles out so im looking for info on rear shocks ive priced them up from main dealer at £84.49 each does anyone know if the ones from MK4 golf fit or some other cheaper options also the rear box priced from main dealers £432.72 nearly what i paid for the car! anyone got any suggestions help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks paul

Not sure on the shocks - I'd assume the 4x4 uses different shocks to the front wheel drive models. You might be able to get them cheaper from TPS or a motor factors.

As for the rear box - I think your options are as follows:

1. Weld up original

2. Find a used one

3. Pattern part

4. Stainless/custom

Speak to paul sims he is breaking a mk1 4x4
