If you want to buy only the thermostat, you can choose from the following manufacturers:

  • BEHR HELLA SERVICE 812523
  • CALORSTAT TH4608.80J
  • DELPHI TMS1221
  • FACET 7.8465
  • FAE 5320380
  • GATES TH12480G1
  • MOTORAD 209-79J
  • VALEO 820541
  • VEMO V15-99-1911
  • WAHLER 303280

Note: The outer diameter of all thermostats is 60 mm. They fit only if existing housing can accommodate this diameter.

If you have a thermostat that is held in place with a securing ring (see photos), the outer diameter is 46 mm! You can't find replacement for it. There is a solution though: use a thermostat housing from Skoda Favorit.

how about the china thermostat that work at 88c

If the thermostat on your car was bought by you as a whole (thermostat + housing) then inside there is:

  1. a 46 mm thermostat held in place with a securing ring (see photo 1) or
  2. a cheap Chinese thermostat held in place by two hooks (see photo 2)

The first thermostat is more reliable, the second one is rubbish. Don't even bother buying Chinese parts. Ever.

As I said before, the best solution is to buy the cap of the thermostat housing (see photo 3) that will accommodate a 60 mm thermostat. By doing that you will never have to buy each time a new thermostat housing but only the thermostat. Moreover, you can select a very reliable thermostat from many reputable manufacturers. A high quality thermostat will keep your engine away from overheating followed by other expensive problems.

The thermo-switch for the radiator fan should be 88-79 for hot climate.

does thermo-switch 88-79 work for both coolant thermostat 80c and 88 ?

You live in Egypt, a country with hot climate, right? So it is logic to use both a thermostat and a thermo-switch with lower operation temperatures. I thought you have that sorted.

Thermostat: 80 C

Thermo-switch: 88-79 C
