SWING turns off after some time

Featured Replies

I've observed a very annoying thing about my car. Sometimes I do some work at my countryhouse and I wish to listen some music. Usually I open the door of  my car, turn on the music and leave the door open.

Unfortunately it stops after some 20 or 30 minutes. All the time...

I think that it is some protection against draining the battery but that's only a guess.

Any ideas?

It's SWING unit. I believe my battery is just fine (it behaved this way last year as well and during wintertime my battery worked well).

No matter if I leave the key in the ignition or not.

As you think, that shutoff feature is there to protect the battery.

Any ideas how do I stop that?

Close the door and open the window instead. I think the timeout is triggered from the door switches indicating they are open and all your internal lighting is on. Alternatively buy a portable radio / bluetooth speaker or whatever.

Nope.

I have Bolero and that will switch off after 30mins.

The only way to stop it is to leave the ignition on or the engine running.
