Battle of 150HP + Skodaw

Featured Replies

It's gonna take a while -- 150 is over 4,000 points clear of me, and his 24hr averages are growing, so we'll see how effective my new rig is.

I don't have any more PC's at work to add to it so my only other area's are clocking the new rig, updating my old PC and build my new Uber PC.

I aint gonna loose my tenth spot to no one

We'll have to see about that :P

150hp&Counting has currently got a 19 point per day increasing lead - currently running around 4,200 points ahead of me.

My folding rig has just completed it's first WU (after I remembered to allow internet access  )

So we'll see how that goes

Then there's my new AMD 64 i'll be building soon. Plus am currently without BBand @ home (soon to be sorted though, finally) so that will be four machines their too.

You may well be - but stick in there, just look at the stats +21 places

we have to many people who join, let it run for a couple of weeks then stop - we need more longterm - doesnt matter what computer or even if you leave it on 24/7 -- the fact that it is folding is what we want.

You certainly don't have to go out and buy standalone PC's to run it - unless of course you have a need for another PC

Hth

It certainly does thank you kind Sir!

got a couple of pc's that I use at work that stay on 24/7 doing not a lot, someone has already noticed folding@home on one of them, "just something I was errrm testing "

Our PC's in work run windows XP -- so I just set the icon to hide all the time, then I rename the Start Menu entry to something boring like sys tools or something

If its just run as a service, there's no icon on the taskbar or entry in the start menu. :D The only clue is a task running in task manager. :)

it's just a shame you cant change the name of the service so that its not recognisable otherwise I would be streets ahead.

Tell you what, this folding malarky is well beyond me. I've only just learnt how to copy & paste.

Woohoo according to todays scores I've got to 10th place

been a battle with 150 for a couple of days -- being as close as 40 points at one stage, just got to keep the points rate strong!

just to give an idea of the increase of folding that I use

in Nov'05 I completed 19 WU's with 2,680 points

In Dec'05 I completed 89 WU's with 10,928 points

So far this month I have completed 167 WU's with 28,005 points

Yep, i kinda thought i would return to work today to see my 10th spot gone - doesnt help that i've still been getting pants wu's (like 30-40 pointers  on p4 machines *sighs)

Although still not as much in it as i thought, and i only completed the last of the machines on friday - so who knows i may get it back yet lmao

But your 24hr average is kinda scary, over 1300 points and top spot for the team, oh and i think first over 1200+ ???

good on ya:thumbup:

Yes I thought we were very evenly matched for quite a few days, we'll have to see how it goes once all your machines are running

My points certainly are growing quickly :D

Just noticed this morning am now pushing just over 1000 24hr average...at last HOOOORAY:rofl:
