Car Mats

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of anywhere that I can get a replacement DRIVERS side mat ONLY.

After 2 1/2 years and 75,000 miles the drivers side mat is wearing through, but the other 3 are literally as good as new.

I bought them from carmats4u, cost £40 including P&P and i have been satisfied with them BUT they only sell full sets of 4.

I really hate wasting 3 mats which are immaculate.

Anybody any suggestions?

I wish I knew the answer to this question too! I've never seen driver's side only for sale anywhere.

Could try french/german ebay -

where someone might have the exact same opposite problem and be selling their "passenger" side mat?

Shove a cheepo rubber mat under the worn one?

I'm not really worried that much about the cost.

Driving about 30,000 miles p.a. I do like the cabin to be clean and comfortable, and I'm quite happy to pay the £40 - £50 or so that a set of mats costs.

I'm reasonably certain that the mats are Laser cut and edges whipped on CNC machinery so producing 1 instead of 4 should present few problems.

It's just the waste that really p****s me off.

Oh well, I'm off to order a further waste of the Earths increasingly scarce resources.

I know exactly how you feel. I ended up buy a rubber universal one and trimming to shape. I do t understand why you can't just buy a drivers one as it takes all the wear.

Try some of the ebay mat sellers. Most make them to order anyway, so might be able to help.

Tried asking carmats4u? I bought a set off them ages ago and picked them up as I worked round the corner - pretty sure they manufacture stuff to order.

I have a set of universal rubber ones that I trimmed to shape and as the two front ones are the same when I bought a replacement set because I wore a hole in the drivers one I had two spares.
