Hello all,

I have solved the problem of my rattling parcel shelf on my Mk3 Scout.

It involved a lot of industrial Velcro.

Briefly, the rattle was coming from three places.

a) The flap rattling on the plastic of the side of the boot area.

The flap rattling against the back of the rear seats

c) The parcel shelf mechanism need some rubber felt material under the U shape of the mountings.

Everything is now a nice tight fit. No rattles and I am learning to love my Oct Scout again.

PS. Dealers weren't interested in fixing the problem. Very disappointed by this....I will be making a complaint if I get 5 minutes.

my solution to the rattle.... removed the parcel shelf.
