Where is the best place to buy them? Halfords, or avoid them totally? I have a passenger side out and 3 of the tiny ones on top of the boot door..

Halfords is fine, plenty of choice and almost guaranteed to be in stock.

 

Be warned though, depending on whether your Octavia is an estate or hatchback (not much info in your profile  :|) will mean you need to be careful which bulb you need.

 

The hatch takes a 21W4W twin filament bulb (not the much more common 21W5W), the estate takes a single filament 21W bulb.

 

Best to take out the old bulb first to check.

 

The high level brake light is LED and is a sealed unit. It isn't possible to replace these bulbs, you'll need an all-new light unit.

Thanks, I saw mike's post above about double filament but I couldn't tell from the halfords image.
