vRS AUQ 1.8t timing belt sound

Featured Replies

Sounds like its the droning noise you get from an over tightened timing belt.

If the work was done at a garage take it back and tell them you are unhappy with it and to get them to re-check the tension of the belt.

It will be putting extra strain on the water pump and pulleys and could shorten their lifespan.

Thank you, you are probably right.... the problem is that the timing belts tensioner is hidraulic, automatic. We can't do anything.

We find the problem, it was the fu...king INA timing belt. Wheb we replace it with a Continental, the sound stopped. I will never buy an INA kit in my life !!!!
