New Yeti Owner

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd pop my head in and say hi.  Just bought my first VAG car on Saturday, following a long line of BMWs.  My beloved 2011 Z4 23i M Sport Highline Ed was traded in for a Yeti and thankfully, so far loving it.

Car is a 2014 Yeti Outdoor 4x4 L&K with the 170bhp 2.0TDI unit.  I was sold on an L&K but fairly flexible on colour, but when I saw the Rosso Brunello, I was sold.  So different to the sea of light coloured cars.

Anyway, here's the Z4 prior to trade in......

Which has joined my wife's X3 on the Spuff Fleet....

And lastly our trusty "Harry" who is our home on wheels come holiday time.....

Yeti has been brilliant over the last 200miles I've driven.  Just have a few niggles which Vindis Cambs will hopefully be able to sort:

- rattling / knocking sunroof;

- whistling turbo under load, when boosting (almost like a chirp!):

- creaking driver side wing mirror when folding.

Otherwise getting nearly 50mpg and going to pop the winter wheelset on soon.

Look forward to taking part in the forum and getting to know the Yeti. :)

Welcome along to the forum and to your first Skoda!  Rosso is a gorgeous colour and my favourite of all the Skoda colours I have had.  A bit of a change from the Z4 alright but hugely practical.  Nice driving position in the Yeti too.

Yeti looks great mate  :sun:

Thanks both.

Really loving the Yeti.  I'm very surprised by how well it does everything so far.

Also how user-friendly and well thought out the technology is in inside too.  Being very used to BMW's Infotainment systems, I have to say that certain elements of the onboard computer and the way the technology is programmed well and truly trumps BMW.

Interesting comment!  I always thought BMW was really up there in terms of infotainment.
