Remap Scotland

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has been asked before, but Where's best in Scotland for a remap? Live in Perth so fairly central. Been quoted £300 for Celtic tuning but have read mixed things about them.

There is a place in lanark that does shark remaps. Never had one done but I hear they are good remaps I only know of this place as I live nearby. http://www.brotek.co.uk/ shark performance dealer your looking at about £399 I have a fabia 1.6 tdi I'm tempted myself. I.m just a bit concerned then effect a remap would have on components in my car a reliable car is more important to me over power.

The figures they quote seem low, though. I'm hoping to get ~235bhp from a "Stage two" if possible.

Cheers. Just asked them for a quote.

Already got a CAI with K&N filter on it, doing all the deletes once I'm back from my holiday and planning on getting a oversized TIP, decent FMIC and renewing the suspension before I go for a Stage Two, just like to have a full plan in place a few months before so I can save monies.

Anything else people would recommend to do before going for the remap?

Bedrock Vw in Motherwell are a Jabbasport agent.

Autohaus got back to me saying they're reluctant to map the ecu on my car due to its age (51 plate), as they find the ecus are starting to play up a bit, which is a fair enough concern.

Celtic tuning are still willing to do it, while I'm still talking to bedrock, who quoted £250+VAT but warned me about potential running issues after a stage two.

Decided I probably won't bother with a "Stage Two". The turbos on these cars apparently reach their limits around 240, and buying a new one or changing the internals is not something I can afford right now.

Is it possible to do something between "Stage one" and "Stage two" though? As in could I get most of the mods for a Stage Two and then just get a custom map that could take me to ~225/230? As despite my man genes tingling at higher figures I think I'd be more than happy with that output
