Anyone know what way the heated seat switches work?

There is 4 wires in the plug. I'm guessing one is 12v, one an earth, one for the light inside the switch and the last one is the feed out from the switch. I'm guessing this will vary in output depending on the position of the dial?

I want to fit some elements in my seats but would like to use the original skoda switches not the ones that come with the kit..

There is a module under the seats, i think that controls the voltage on the OEM heated seats and the switches just run a different signal maybe?

Do your after market heated seats have 5 settings, most have 2 or 3.

Yup 5 settings. It's an eBay kit which I plan on fitting to the s3 recaro seats I have fitted. Would just like the original switches to work them if possible.

I know the original seats are connected to the ecu thing in the dash and needs to be activated with vcds. But I think the switches should still send out a different signal/ voltage on each position.
