My central locking went gaga two days ago and the garage have been on to say they need to order a part, it the sealed black box unit that controls all the internal electrics, and the only way I can fix the problem is to replace this part.

That sort of bill would make my eyes water too! I purchased extended warranty cover for such an eventuality but that particular component isn't mentioned in the schedule so wouldn't have been covered. :(

Yeah I was going to go for the extended warrenty, but I thought no point, because its VW build quality, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG!

Looking back that was probably a mistake!:P

Anyway, its still a fantastic car:thumbup:

1 question though, my previous car was a corrado, and the Octy seems to roll a little more in the corners, and so I haven't given it too much stick in corners, how good is it on the twisty bits?

Mine is the 4x4, I think I'll just have to give it some stick and find out! Can the car handle the uprated BHP when you chip it or do you need up rated parts fitted?
