Skoda in USA market

Featured Replies

Hi guys we all heard Skoda is considering entering US market once again after long time. What do you think, will it have same problems as VW or does it have actual chance of becoming successful like in rest of world?

So is that what the Kodiak is all about then?

No Kodiaq is coming to Europe market next year. Later it will come to rest of world and China by 2018. In next year Skoda will make market research and decide to enter US market or not.

If they do they are planning entering first with Octavia & Superb. Kodiaq maybe later. By 2020 Skoda is planning an EV Superb, possibly later Octavia or Kodiaq IDK?
They are also considering of making Superb and Kodiaq VRS version or canceling VRS for good. And add only stronger engins and sport pack as costumization options to all models.

Always said that a Superb estate  would be the perfect hire car in the States for getting all your luggage in and 4 passengers with plenty of room. Would be streets ahead of the SUV type gas guzzling crap I've had on every holiday. One day the penny will drop.

Basically gives VWG the opportunity to wipe the slate clean of VW emissions scandal in the US and replace the cars with Skoda.

Vast majority of US buyers won't appreciate the Skoda is part of VWG.

Since VW is positioned as a semi-premium alternative to mainstream manufacturers in the US, there is room for Skoda to slip into the market under VW.
