Tyres.

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Could anyone tell me please if they have fitted 205/55/16 tryes to their Mk II? Do they run and look okay? I'm thinking about replacing my old 205/45/16's with them, as I quite like the extra sidewall height/aspect ratio.

Thank for any help, advice and/or pictures.

Cheers,

Fraze

How about 205 50/16's or 195 50/16's.

My aim is to try to fill the arches a little bit more, without having to change wheels if possible.

You may have trouble in insuring any size that is not one of the approved sizes as shown on your filler flap.

The only 16" wheel size tyre indicated on the filler cap is 205/45/16. Surely there are other options available and road legal, as there are with other road tyres/cars?

Cheers,

Fraze
