Mk1 Estate rear bumper

Featured Replies

Does anybody know where to find these vrs rear bumpers for the mk1 estate ive seen 1 or 2 pics of them but cant find them does anyone know???

They are custom made using both a standard estate bumper and a vrs bumper plastic welded together

Ok cheers now i know not to waste my time looking for one lol bow gotta find a vrs rear with parking sensors and a plastic welder cheers mate

You just need a big soldering iron to platic weld the seams, and then lay fibreglass all along the back to strengthen it.

Why does the vrs rear need sensors? Doesn't matter. Best bet is to make it out of two bumpers without sensors, get it to the point of painting, so after all the filling etc, and then installing the sensors in the right place, then painting.

My fabia vrs estate bumper was nice :) I'm currently in the process of building another, been smoothing the front vrs bumper today, and making vrs rear next.

Well worth it.

I'm surprised there's not an aftermarket job available, I'm gonna need to solve the estate vrs rear bumper problem soon for my project. Anyone know anybody who can help?

While on the fabia Vrs estate subject, anyone got any tips for this type of project? I'm right at the start, got the wheels and a front bumper waiting.Car is an 06 Fabia 1.9 tdi elegance.

I don't think there was anything I didn't do! :D

Mine was as close to a vRS estate as you could get.

Mine wasn't. Mine was a fibreglass skirt bonded to the rear bumper. Can't get them anymore though. Wish I'd taken a blasted mould of it now.

I want to start with wheels and front and rear bumper/exhaust, then get to the height and remap/later and interior later on ... transmission maybe later in the future, old beetles used to be my thing but they are like Lego compared to this...
