07 octavia elegance estate abs / tcr lights on , no fault code found

Featured Replies

abs /traction control fault lights on , tried two different code readers , last one came up with daft , ( already known ) faults on rear nearside door , also told me which rear park sensor is duff , ( handy , I did not know which one ) , so the code reader appears to be working , but when asked for abs codes , says no fault codes recorded , ( I'm sitting there looking at the lights! ) . Me stupid ? , quite possible , I passed my test in1965 , & struggle with the electronics on the new cars . I am no "petrol head" , just an old guy with a Skoda problem , ( though I do enjoy reading the posts , you boys are a mine of information/education ! ) , any one help ?.

Do you get "kickback" from the pedal when under 15mph in normal service stops? If so, then the problem could be with the air gap on one of the sensors.

I did get kickback , assumed it was a warped disc , changed both front discs & kickback went away , ( so did fault lights , for a while , come to think of it )

the lights are not on all the time ,( actually not on for last mot , reappeared couple of days later !) , but sounds as though you could be onto something , why no fault code though ? . Anyone know what gap should be / how to check it ? , good post , thanks for it !
