Importing mobile phone contacts

Featured Replies

Hi, hoping for some words of wisdom! My wife has just picked up a new Fabia today and I am having problems getting her mobile phone contacts across to the hands free. When I hit the button for contacts it asks me to import them but then says it can't find any contacts with numbers? However when I look at her Bluetooth profile it says there are 250 contacts imported. I tried connecting my phone with no issues. I have unpaired her phone and repaired with no difference. I have merged all her phone contacts into her gmail account. The Bluetooth setting on her phone, a HTC One M8, has the box ticked to share contacts. I'm baffled! Any help appreciated.

I'm not entirely sure but it could be to do with them being merged into her Gmail account. Can you un-merge them to see if that makes a difference? Frustrating that we have such different experiences between phone manufacturers. Life would be simpler if we didn't have to relearn every time eh...

You can switch contacts between google/SIM&sd card

Some times it has issues reading contacts from Google

Like hangout messages it won't read but normal sms messages via messenger app it will

Try importing contacts to sim or as card and rescan

I am having this issue as well after upgrading my phone from windows 8.1 to 10. I can't move contacts to SIM but I have moved to my SD card and still showing no contacts with numbers. I have both Microsoft account with contacts and google account with contacts, neither work after my phone update. Any suggestions?? Thank you

Probably best to keep them on the phone, not the SD card? I didn't have trouble with other VW group systems with my old Windows 10 phone (Lumia 930) but that didn't have an SD card. I'm now on Android so can't test it for you!
