Been on here for a while after owning a 2000 Fabia 1.4 petrol in Portugal,beat about a bit but runs well and did us for a couple of years,recently sold to another expat.

Bought a Fabia Monte 2011"75 bhp but a cracking little car which we still own.Beige Cappucino with black roof,looks like new.

We liked both of the above so much we ordered a Yeti 2ltr. Edition DSG in Marron Mata with a white roof,we spend a lot of time in Portugal so thought maybe cooler.

We have a dealer near us here in France,he told us delivery mid October and kept us informed very well.

We got the call last week it was at the dealership and sorted Insurance etc and arranged a time today.

When we arrived the car was under wraps and he proudly pulled cover off while I got a couple of pics.

I could find no fault whatsoever with any aspect of the handover,we then went into the office to sort paperwork and one of the female staff brought Andrea in a beautiful plant,wrapped superbly and the proprietor handed me a wrapped box with a proper lead seal on the paper,inside was clearly a very(I am guessing)expensive bottle of 2008 vintage Bordeaux red.

To say I was gobsmacked is an understatement!! Am also amazed by the DSG box,the short journey home confirmed what I had been told and read,the changes are imperceptible,I had to look at the Maxidot or the tachometer to see the changes.I have loads to learn about this beautiful machine and the service was superb.

As I said I have bought many vehicles in my life but just over the moon with the service.He bluetoothed both the phones and we both got on the floor of the showroom,him in his suit,fitted the towbar and showed me how the lock worked.

The vino was a bottle of 2008 Chateau de Rochemorin,as I said in a cardboard box,sealed with a proper seal and the history of the brand.

A superb day and very impressed.

When he gave us the gifts,I replied "superb,non pardon Yeti" that had him in fits of laughter.

Thanks baldeagle. I have used their branch at Brive for a minor warranty issue (which they dealt with promptly). I bought my Yeti from the Bordeaux dealer who was ok, but the one in Perigueux was so rude and offhand I vowed never to go back. Unfortunately I live about as far away from a dealer as it's possible to be in France!

That is a serious red.

 

Store it on its side, someplace that stays at a constant room temperature, until you're having a "special meal" of steak, venison or roast sirloin (I would say horse here, but I've never tried horse). Decant if you have a decanter, and let breathe for about 2 hours before drinking.

Nor me to be honest,her indoors said we needed it to,keep the interior cool,well emmm I thought that was what climate control was for!!
