Proud Octavia VRS 220 owner

Featured Replies

Hi to all Briskoda members ????????

I had owned a 1996 Audi A4 avant 1.9tdi up until 3 weeks ago. Very reliable car which served me well for 10 years. Usual MOT advisories started stacking up and with a big one being the front arches badly rusting ????

As I said it was a great car but anything but exciting!

So I needed a family estate car, this time I wanted something with "a bit of poke". Loved the mark 2 octavia VRS and basically decided I was getting one when the A4 dies. About 4 years on it was still going on strong, and the mark 3 came out which I fell in love with. Way more aggressive sporty front end. Originally was going for a diesel but decided it didn't make sense because I do a maximum of 8k a year, lots of short journeys which worries me with DPF systems. So no! Let's have a petrol! So in the end I bought a 13 plate Octavia VRS 220 estate in race blue. Really wanted the Gemini alloys but it came with the other silver ones. Can't remember what they're called?? Although when I see a mk3 vrs it's almost guaranteed to have the gemini's on it, so it's kind of nice to be different.

Absolutely love the car! So far I've bought a rubber loadspace liner and cleaned it twice ????.

Every time I go upstairs I peer out the window at it on my drive lol. Super sad I know!

Came across this owners club when basically searching anything related to skoda it pops up on google! Extremely useful and has had a big impact in the search for my new pride and joy. So naturally once I'd purchased a skoda it made perfect sense to join in!

Welcome!

Hopefully the car will give you many happy years of motoring and many smiles!

Enjoy
