HDMI switch

Featured Replies

I've run out of HDMI ports on me telly. It wasn't a budget box but it did only come with two ports (lesson learned there).

HDMI switch appears to be the way to go and there are many but after a recommendation.

Needs to handle 4k and be HDMI 2.2 capable and auto switch. Found a couple on Amazon which claim to be high speed but they don't mention 2.2

are you running a surround sound setup?

Sounds like a perfect excuse for a nice AV Amp and speakers to me...

Yes I got an LG sound bar and sub when I got the telly.

I connect the sound using optical to free up the HDMI

Fair enough, I was asking as my Sony AV amp has 4 HDMI Inputs and one Output, it works as a HDMI switch as well giving 7.1 ch Surround Sound for all my gadgets. If you already have a sound bar you are happy with its a bit redundant though

Ah see what you're getting at. No there are no redundant ports or pass throughs on the sound bar. Not expensive enough I guess.
