Can i lock and leave the car after starting the Columbus update? It seems like it will take a looong time to complete..

If you're talking about the Mk2 Octavia then yes. The maps update will just restart after you turn the engine off and then restart the car.

No, its a 2017 vRS. It took several minutes to get to 2% so i canceled it for now. Can i just leave the update? Surely they cannot have designed an update process that takes 1+ hour and requires you to wait in the car..

Just set it going and forget it. It will switch off after a while but will resume from where it left off next time you start it. It can take a long time. I always connect a battery charger and then leave the ignition on if I had no plans to drive.

I updated maps on my columbus in MY17 octavia.

Cca 30-35min to update maps.
