Chip repair excess equity redstar

Featured Replies

Hi, quick question, I have just called you to arrange a chip repair for my windscreen, and asked how much I would have to pay , and the lady said ' I think it's £10 with equity redstar' , now I didn't think twice and said go ahead extra, but then remembered my policy has a pretty high excess for windscreen replacement (£150) so just looked up online, and first click says equity redstar is on their blacklist £100 excess not waived fur windscreen repair ! Can you just confirm how much it will cost me to have this chip repaired ? Thanks

If the chip can be repaired it'll cost £10 but if the windscreen needs replacing because the chip is irreparable the excess will kick in at £75 if you use the approved repairer, National Windscreens, £125 if you don't.

Hope that gives you a bit more confidence.

best,

Nick
