Service intervals for 1.2TDi Greenline 2

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Considering a Fabia Greenline 2 Estate as part of a serious cost cutting drive. I appreciate that performance will be dull compared to my Superb but really don't like loosing more money than I need to getting to work and back! My minimum requirements are Cruise Control and Auto Aircon.

I do mainly motorway miles - around 450 per week just for my commute - and currently cruise at around 70. Is 70mpg a reasonable estimate for the fuel costing?

20,000 mile service interval?

What are the intervals/costs on the big services?

Thanks,

Wesley.

they can be on fixed 10k intervals or variable up to 18k  / 2year intervals

regardless what they are on when you buy it, you can have it changed to your preferred service interval at the next service

I had a Fabia Greenline II for a couple of years - cruising at 70mph really isn't the best way to get high fuel economy from one as they only have 5 gears and poor aerodynamics - Allthough the Greenline will happily cruise at 70mph all day and is reasonably quiet and comfortable doing so, they seem better suited to 50mph and below, a bit of a shame really because they're decent cars otherwise with a generous level of kit. Allthough you'd be unlikely to find one with auto aircon - they came with manual with auto as a pay option.

If staying within the VAG group I'd be looking for the 1.6 TDi or possibly even 2.0 TDi with 6 speed gearbox as a better bet for high speed economy/motorway work
