I notice from the VCDS pinned post at the top of the section that there is the following VCDS mod.......

"STG09/Byte12/Bit0 changed to 1. Tailights on with DRL's, front sidelights, dash illumination and number plate light"

Is this the only way to have the dashboard illumination on all the time or can the dashboard illumination be coded to be on with the DRLs but still without the taillights and numberplate lights being on???

The auto dimming dash in the Citigo just seems a bit of an annoyance to me with the Superb having the permanently lit dashboard.

I prefer it, its a good safety reminder to put your lights on as its too dark to drive with them off.
