Front driver side lights go off as well as rear passenger side. Indicators both left and right signal as if bulbs are out but left works and right doesn't.  Bulb warning light on in dash as well as left signal turn light.  Lights above rear number plate out also.  Hours later all lights back on and may stay on a couple of days until indicators start to fail.  I have had three auto sparks look at it and all are at a loss. I'm about to leave my wife who recently won the lottery as she wont help me.  Please can anyone shed some LIGHT on my predicament.  It would be gratefully appreciated.  Thanks.

I'm no automotive sparky, but I'd be looking for a duff earth first.  Then checking all the bulbs - doubtful, but I had weird light stuff going on on an Accord I had a few years ago.  Dash lighting up like a christmas tree.  Turned out to be an intermittent brake light bulb where the filament wasn't properly attached to the pylon it should have been crimped to.  As it heated up it broke contact and caused light failure warnings, as it cooled it re-joined contact.  Took ages to find as every time I got out the car it worked fine.

Best o'luck.

Thanks for the reply Gaz.  All the bulbs were checked along with the earthing. Some times the lights are out and then they all come on when they feel like it.  so annoying as i've already forked out nearly 200 quid and cant drive the car in the dark.  I've a feeling something really minor causing this but trying to find the problem is a headache.  The last auto spark told me to take it back to him if the fault arose so he could stick the computer on it. I drove a half hour and when i was half a mile away from the garage all the lights came on and stayed on for two days. He put the computer on and cant find anything.  All fuses and relays working also.

Switches then, or swarf in the multicolumn stalk? (I seem to remember a liberal spraying with Servisol 10 or similar blows the crap out).

Have you swapped out the relays - dry solder joints perhaps?

Bloody electrical gremlins

Spark believes the BCM is showing a intermittent fault,  may need replaced but isn't 100%. Has any one else ever heard or came across this problem.  Your help would be very much appreciated.
