While looking around Swmbos Yeti, I noticed the last owner had fitted a double usb adapter inside the top dash top box , did any of you own a red 2012 yeti 4x4 , would like to know how its wired in as its not working at the moment you live in North Wales, and would like to get it working

What headunit does it have fitted? May be something that was fitted with a after market headunit thats been reverted to a standard one. Or just power supply usb with no conectivety to the stereo. Do they work to charge kit or not at all?

Try looking in the end of dash panel fusebox, may be a piggy back fuse in there, if so check the fuse! - it may be blown!

The OP is talking about a double USB socket in the storage box on the top of the dash.

After market headunits often come with a remote USB input that can be fitted in the dash or anywhere it will reach. Remove the headunit refit a standard one without removing the USB to avoid leaving a hole.

Turns out kits can be fitted to lower spec skoda headunits that convert the cd changer input on the headunit to a USB input. If you have one of those headunits try switching to cd changer and see if the USB starts working.

It has the RNS 315, fitted, tried the CD changer as mentioned still nothing will pull the end plate when I get a chance, , its definataly an after market usb adapter with 2 slots , posably for charging the phone

For a double USB charger option on my Yeti 2.0L 140 HP , I have used a product serving two purposes. 

USB phone charging and bluetooth enabled audio system . High end Audi quality. My radio is SWING . All cables supplied including AUX i/p.

 

Purchased it from Flipkat website - Zaap v4.0 Car Bluetooth Device with USB Cable, 3.5mm Connector  (Black)
