My FL Octavia had an adjustable option called GALA iirc which ramped up the radio volume in proportion to the increased speed and noise. Once set it was never needed again.

But does the Bolero in a Mark111 have a similar option? Or is it clever enough to adjust itself?

Mine has adjust and it's with a certain level of adjustment in scale 1-7. I guess how much it adds /removes from current level i steps. If needed I can take where it is and provide it.

I found it by looking at the manual again -thanks for the confirmation it was possible. Not that obvious as the menu item is labelled 'Volume Adjustment'. I've cranked mine up a bit.
