Yeti adventure seats

Featured Replies

One year into ownership of my 2.0 diesel yeti adventure.

Generally happy especially with over 50mpg on my 50 mile daily round trip commute.

However I am less happy with the seat support. Am 6 foot 5 but find the them a little unsupportive especially at the sides.

Does anyone know if the seats in the adventure are sports seats and if not would fitting them be recommended ?

Other parts of this forum suggest that the seats in the urban are sports seats but no conformation that the adventure is the same

I have an Adventure and previously an SE, my view they are not Sports seats as the 2 examples I have experience of suggests the same base used!

I stand to be corrected!

I'm 6'8" and the leather seats in our Elegance and now our L&K are great. I have the lumbar support all the way out - I really wouldn't want to drive very far with the Adventure seats without lumbar support. The side bolsters are supportive enough for the type of car in my opinion.

I ordered sports seats for my Yeti without sitting in one. They are not a sports seat, but one which is a bit more snug and with a bit more supportive. I do not regret it for one moment.

I have enjoyed seats in the form or a Renault 16 with armchair comfort, a lovely Volvo  and a VW Touran that was firm and supportive.

Unlike you I am short at 5' 8", but I have left home at 3am and driven through France towing a caravan until 6pm. Despite a back problem I have arrived fresh and in two years of ownership never experienced any discomfort. They are excellent.

Thanks everyone for their input. I hadn't really thought about lumbar support and wasn't really aware that the adventure model doesn't have it.
