Air bag light flashing

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm looking for some advise about my wife's citroen c1. I was driving it today as my fabia was in for an mot.

The good news is the fabia passed no advisory,s. The bad news is that driving my wife's car back into collect the fabia I noticed the air bag light flashing in the c1. I had to adjust the seat pretty far back from its normal position for myself. I checked the conectors under the seat gave it a push and heard a click.I thought good it must have come loose when I adjusted the seat. This has not solved the problem the lights still flashin, any ideas what to try next?

If it's anything like my Superb, the light won't stop flashing until the fault is cleared.

I thought that the air bag light checks it's self when it restarts. In that case I might buy a cheap diagnostics check and reset tool from amazon

Can't vouch for the C1, but on my Superb, I unclipped an airbag connector in error while trying to shut up a faulty parking sensor beeper.  It was cleared with a fault code reader.

Sounds like the way forward I'll order up a code reader and try and clear it.thanks for your help

Got airbags in the doors? I know in the Octavia they could make the light flash too if there was a connection error (my door was off to be sprayed.).

Even an intermittent air bag fault will log a code and the light will stay on regardless of whether it has been rectified.

You need to get a code reader that is capable of interrogating the air bag module to reset it.

Sorted now I went out and had another look under the seat there was another conector next to the one I pushed in. Pushed that one in no click felt like it was solid.I started the car and the light goes out and stays out. The wife's been on a 10 mile run and its not come back on. That saves me buying a code reader I was struggling to find a cheap one that done air bag lights.
