Hi, I Bought 2013 Octavia estate back in January, which came with Chrome/silver accents pieces which i have never really liked, badges, grill and Roof Rails, I am in the process of spraying all of these Black. But I would like to ask if anyone has removed the Roof Rails from there Octavia, How easy is it to do, how many bolts etc, Cheers

I wanted my roof wrapped when I first got the Octy (including releasing the roof bars so there was no joint) but the place I took it couldn't do it due to all the pyrotechnics under the headlining.  Just something to bear in mind.

You could try plasti-coating the rails black, the rails will not need removing to do it. There is a thread on it somewhere.

I have Plasti-dip'd all my badges front and rear, just need to buy a new black front grill surround, as i do not think i can do a good enough job spraying the chrome grill, I would like to have the Roof Rails properly sprayed, and with plasti-dipping the roof rails, again i do not think i could do a proper job covering them, unless they were taken off, If i am going to do it right, best way in my mind is to remove the rails.

How much electeics os under the headliner? cheers.
