2016 Colour Edition headlight bulbs changed

Featured Replies

For anyone else thinking of changing their headlight bulbs, here is some info.

I bought four H7 bulbs. Went for Philips X-treme Vision Plus 130%. Managed to get 31% off with a promo code for Euro Car Parts. There's a branch local to me.

If you follow the Fabia handbook, you're in for a surprise. Like I was.

I was yanking the terminal block off the back of the bulb but it wouldn't budge. Turns out, you now just twist it anti-clockwise and the bulb comes out.

That's not easy though. Takes some force in a tight space.

There's also no need to remove the windscreen wash bottle.

Taken me an age to replace four bulbs. Because it's so tricky to get them locked back into position. And, they don't feel as securely locked in place as they did when I first undid them. However, I can't pull them directly out so they should be fine.

I have yet to see if these bulbs make much difference but I hope this post helps others.

Put "Dipped Beame" in the search box at the top of page long thread on dim lights and the joys

of trying to replace them with brighter ones on the Fabia Joe

Yeah, I've read most of those. I knew it would be tricky but I've got little lady hands. If only there was a little plastic tool to get more purchase on the back of the terminal block. Would have made it so much easier.

I am sure you are enjoying the brighter lights so it was worth the hassle Joe
