lift needed?

Featured Replies

so a bit of background before the question ..  since i put the 17" wheels on my fabia it looks like its on stilts! with this in mind i thought i would take the opportunity to drop it a little too .. so ive got 35mm lowering springs, new drop links and new top mounts

however, since i only have a 1.2 and i think it looks rather boring, i wanted to make the rear end look a bit better too, so ive gotten a vRS exhaust and back bumper, and want to fit these at the same time..

my question is.. to do all this and get access to what i need, will i need a lift? or will the little jack in the boot and then up on axle stands work?

Dont use the jack that comes with the car,get yourself a decent trolley jack & use that to jack the car up & always place axle stands under the car, never work under a car with just a jack of any kind.

aye thanks, i would definitely use stands not just the jack mate, wouldnt trust it! how come a trolly jack and not the one with the car out of curiosity?

would that be enough room to do the work though yeah? Jacked up and then on axle stands?
