More Power Fabia RS !

I would freakin' love to almost double my BHP but I imagine that little engine is having an enormous amount of strain on it and wouldn't last for long as a normal drive-about.

They're stressed enough just out the factory lol

its amazing how they wanted the complete opposite from the mk1 vrs which was such a success, the thought of putting an almost bullet proof diesel engine that can be massivly tuned and stay reliable while giving great MPG still musnt apeal much anymore.

Agreed.

Thats why theres no mk3 vrs i reckon. Cos the mk2 was such a fluff up.

If the mk2 had a 2.0tdi 140 cr in it, theyd of sold loads more.

Obviously Volkswagen invested millions in trying to get a petrol engine with the same power as 5 & 6 Cylinder Petrol engines without the emissions or turbo lag.

Even bettering the performance of VW's with twice the CC's

They achieved that but then continued to penny pinch on components like chains, chain tensioners, pistons, rings, scrapers, valves & generally R&D putting them out as Euro 4 then Euro 5 Emission engines while still having snagging faults and even major failures.

SEAT first got the 180ps minimum 1.4 TSI Twincharger with the 7 speed DSG and these were failing as Skoda & VW then Audi launched their versions.

The beauty of it all is that the VW Group never admit to Designing & Manufacturing anything that has Fundamental Design & Manufacturing faults then Component Choice & Quality Control failings.

The Mk1 Fabia vRS was a success and is an amazing car that can hold value well.

They were not cheap though and they sold 13,000 or so in the UK which is good, but small fry compared to many other Brands Hot or Warm hatches.

What do you think of the possible power in 1.4 Twincharger? 400hp 440NM

It seems to hold up well with a Turbo Garret GTX, the TMG company installs them.

Anyone here prove it?

Do you know the engine has standard bearings, piston, rings, valves, etc, then just upgraded intercooler, decat etc etc.

There are several members here running stage 2+ with standard base engines, so that is over 220 bhp.

If you blueprint the standard engine take it to stage 2 plus and add upgraded clutch packs then you are maybe getting to some kind or reliable engine with lots of available power.

Just spend what you want and find someone to do the work for you, you have the links to them.

'newbie69' has dealt with them and can maybe help, look at his vRS build.

He now has a VW Golf GTI Clubsport, so something that has show, go and handling and reliability.

?

Have you read this Project Build?

There are also threads in other forums on the build if you search.

Check out Rainer Tants vids on youtube.

Not just a 1/4 mile strip car.

Maybe VAG could see that diesels were going to come in for a great deal of richly deserved criticism? Although in fairness their response to that was an absolute disaster.

Maybe VAG didn't feel that any money was to be made from producing a car aimed at Boy Racers who would then tune it beyond safe levels and whine at the unsurprising results?

That's right, why they stopped producing Warm Hatch Diesel Fabia, Polo, & Ibiza and stuck with doing the heavier Leon, Golf & Octavia.

Funnily these sold and still sell in bigger numbers and still get tuned by Boy & Girl racers, and middle aged and older ones.

Not a Boy Racer fan are you vxh26 / vxh28, or modifying, or even upgrading?

Factory spec for you is it, follow the Owners Manual to the word and the Manufacturing Servicing Schedule / Guidelines!

How is that Fabia you have with the dangerous headlights?
