MK1 Fabia 1.4 8V for spares or repair.

Featured Replies

For sale: my mk1 Fabia 8v classic. Its in good condition, but has done 165,000 miles. It has had a timing chain recently, and the Headlamps were replaced two years ago. There is no MOT on the car, and it would need work in order to get one, but nothing that a DIY mechanic couldn't manage. I haven't driven it for a while, and I did intend to get it roadworthy again, but I prefer my Felicia that I bought to keep me mobile, so now it has to go to make room on my drive. I can possibly arrange for delivery of this car to Notts, Derbyshire, or South Yorkshire for a small cash fee on my mates transporter. It's currently in Alfreton, Derbyshire, 5 miles from the usual east midlands meet, and, because I need the space urgently I would accept any offer over £150 for it. 07510 288646 for more details.

Thanks.

What does it need to get it an MOT and roadworthy?

I'm not a qualified MOT tester, and I haven't taken the car for a test, but It definitely needs the following;

A new nearside front lower suspension arm with ball joint. A bodywork repair to the hatchback to re-fit one number plate light, as the mounting has rusted away.

All four tyres are well worn, but they might pass with an advisory, I will measure the tread depth if you need to know?.

I suspect also that it might need the nearside front anti-roll bar link and a pair of brake discs due to corrosion.
