I have own Superb since like a month and I have just bought a A7LA70 (GS90C) dashcam. I am little suprised that builtin 12v charger socket in car works even if the engine is off. That results that if I keep the charger of the cam plugged in at all times it does not start the cam when I start the engine. Moreover it usess car battery ...

I really cannot imagine that there is no permanent solution for installing the dashcam and forgetting about it once its done. Any thoughts or experiences?

I hard wired into the rear wash wipe fuse. Works a treat.

So no solution that omits hardware modifications?

If you read the thread in the link, all we do is use a switched live power feed in the fuse box, hardly a hardware modification

And a piggy back fuse. No real mod at all.
