xenon headlamps misting up

Featured Replies

My xenon headlamps mist up in rainy weather once switched off.

i am surprised as I would have thought that would not happen.

Is this normal?

cheers Phil.

I did a search and could not see anything.  Thanks again for the link; appreciated.

Getting more common now with LED headlights and DRL's; I think they just don't give out enough heat so it takes longer to get rid of/evaporate any built up moisture (?)

I had misting from day one but it's cleared now after five weeks.

Yes, it seems to get less over time – or I just don’t notice it as much, or look away. While this misting may technically be OK, I can’t stand the sight of it as it makes the car look so cheap! And it certainly wasn’t cheap; not like many other people would expect, anyway.

As bugbears go, however, it ain’t a biggie.
