Fabia II wind deflecters

Featured Replies

Hi, recently purchased some brand new genuine Fabia II wind deflectors from a Skoda spares dealer on eBay.

Before fitting them today I checked some YouTube vids so I knew what to do.

After fitting them they were loose on the doors and the Windows were fouling the deflecters. I noticed on the YouTube vids that they were using clips to tighten them up on the door frame and stop them from flapping and fouling the window.

I checked the boxes and no clips.

Just wondering if people on here have fitted them and did you need clips to snug then up?

Thanks.

I recently bought some genuine deflectors too. They don't need any clips, they just slot in. When i fitted mine the plastic lip on the top corners had a bit snap off when the windows first went up. This meant that they didn't stay in place properly and windows wouldn't go up anymore. Maybe the same thing has happened to yours.

I have had a replacement set sent and I have yet to fit them though. Just hoping same thing doesn't happen again.

Ordered HEKO deflectors now too as they look much better than the Skoda original ones. Also have that notch in them to avoid that plastic bit that sticks out of the sloping part of the window frame. What is that for anyway? Lol

No idea what it's for, I've heko on the rear and genuine skoda on the front, heko ordered for front but girlfriend claimed them for her car hahaha
