Hi all. I have an intermitant electrical problem and wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what's going on.

 

The warning light on the dashboard to show bulb failure comes on from time to time on but all the bulbs were working fine.

The Interior light dose not come on when I open the drivers door.

The warning buzzer to let you know your lights are still on dosnt sound.

The Red light in the drivers door panel dosnt come on.

The boot dosnt always open when i try it ( But for some strange reason opening the rear door solves this one.)

 

Sometimes all of the above happen together sometimes they happen as individual entities on their own.

 

Can anyone give me a few pointers as to whats going on and is it a big fix.

1 - 4 all look like they may be related to the switch that detects whether or not you have opened the door sticking.

Check the door switch it is built into the lock in the door. Sometimes the lock needs to be taken out and contacts cleaned.

Other wise lock assembly will need to be changed.
