tires size

Featured Replies

So my friend wants to give me nearly for free summer tires Dunlop wich are 3 years old, but looks like new. They came from Bmw.

Only problem is my current tires are 225x45xr17 and Skoda OEM rims(I still have it) that came with cars was 255x50xr16 if I remember correctly.

So is it normal to put it on Skoda rims and will car suffer with smaller tire? If answer is yes, I will save money for next year and buy 225X45XR17 summer tires.

Tnx for helping, cheers!!

Ive found correct tire name: Dunlop 225/45ZR16 SP SPORT 9000 MFS

In this country your insurance is probably invalid if you have wrong size tyres on your wheels.

Fortunatly we dont have that kind of law here. :)

I think tire would be very small, and I think I wont go that way.

I have found new tires for like 500euros(less) and buy them, whats your toughts are Michelin good enough?

Do you have rims for the smaller tyre, 16 inch tyres will not fit 17 inch rims

That's not actually a law; it's a condition of contract that may be imposed by an insurance company.

I'd be quite happy to fit Michelin tyres.
