Hello, I'm new here. Driving round in a 2000 Skoda Octavia (yes, it is nearly old enough to have its own driving licence!) And struggling to find someone to do the more fiddly, non-mechanicy jobs, so have bought myself a tool kit, and got into briskoda! How long will I be able to keep my car running for?

:hi:

It deoends on the spec, fuel type, mileage, driving style...

i only traded in my mk1 diesel 2 weeks ago as it was 203k mls, needed a few jobs doing (steering rack priority) and it had reached a tipping point (for me) between being economical to fix up or trade. I know theres a couple of other mk1s around europe with epic mileage - 500k plus.. and a diesel fabia mk1 with iirc 1.2million+ kilometers.

Keep it serviced properly and you should easily be able to keep it going long time :)
