Unusual Fun

Featured Replies

I have recently returned from Sardinia, The reason for going there was, to take a Skoda Fun pickup and leave it there.....A friend has a holiday home there and thought that a Fun would be the perfect choice, and he bought it from me....Maybe the only one on the island.........anyway I soon missed my Fun and decided to buy another,  I have owned 4 Funs previous to this one, but this one has some odd features,   no 1.... no roof bars or places to bolt them to,  No2      wood or plastic? dashboard...  No3    plastic inserts in the wheel arches,     No4 Electric windows    None of my previous cars had this, it is s reg 1998........ any info would be good   thanks John

I'm not sure what information are you looking for. Those are custom modifications made my previous owner(s). I suspect there are more custom modifications at wiring, body, suspension, engine, etc.

I've seen the 'wood' on a a couple of cars. I went to look at a Bohemia that had it a couple of years back but it was too rusty. I'm not sure if it was offered by Škoda as an extra or if it was just an aftermarket thing.

I found a company in Germany that still lists it in various finishes, different types of fake wood and some solid colours like gloss black. I presume they have some sort of template and just print it off on request, I doubt it's something they keep in stock, not much demand I wouldn't have thought. It was about £80 a set I think.

The combination of 'wood' and plastic dashboard is hideous imho. Cheap on cheap for not having the real thing. I mean it's not a Mercedes or a Rolls. It's a Fun.

Ok I get that about the dash board,, but what about the inner wing protectors, do that fit them to Felicia's  or are they a "bolt on goodie"  If so they work,.... This is the only Fun that I have owned that never had any sign of rust in the front wings...

I have no idea where you get this information  but, thank you very much, excellent result

I have no idea where you get this information  ...

It's no secret. I signed long time ago with many foreign forums that discuss about Felicia and Favorit. I share information about maintenance and repairs I do almost on a daily basis on those cars. In turn people share their experience. That's all.
