I seem to have the problem that my floor mat on the drivers side catches on the clutch pedal.

 

Is this because the mat might not be genuine? Or is it common on the octo? 

 

It's infuriating.

alot of "universal" mats dont fit properly.

i tend to the heavy rubber ones to trap the mud off my work boots then cut them down to make sure they arent fouling any pedals

The mat looks genuine, but who knows if it is or not. I'll have to compare it to pictures of genuine ones online. I think the problem is that it is a tad too long. 

Do they have the 3 holes to correctly locate them to the floor?

Yup they do, I don't think they are genuine though, they just have the VRS logo added.

I'm sure they may be still available from Skoda etc

Thanks, will check it out. I'm sure it's probably a lot of money for some carpet but will see anyway.
