DPF delate or not

Featured Replies

Unsurprising...

Ever since the visual check was introduced it's only been a matter of time before gutted DPF's would be targeted.

if you never drive in central Europe...then do it ;-)

otherwise, Austria or Germany...it is deadly business of losing car and fine of at least €5000

They have mobile optical devices for measuring particles in exhaust gasses and it takes them few seconds ;-) They love foreign drivers, especially from filthy countries as UK

It was great business of ECO terrorist in Czech Republic...EGR delete, DPF delete and Brain delete...now everybody buys expensive DPF and fit them back because MOT was improved, bribing is costly and fines are over 3000€, which is three salaries for lucky czech worker ;-)

You loose about 10% of power due bad exhaust piping and DPF...but you have fresh air from your exhaust. My car has almost 190HP and I still have DPF...it took me about half year of DPF grilling in mountains in order to regenerate it properly after previous dumb driver who purchased TDi for short trips

If you did dpf delete electronically say with a remap.. Would this be picked up?

what is point of having electronically switched off DPF?

few hundred kilometres later DPF clogged with exhaust so high back pressure you would lose most of your performance or in worst case scenario...turbine wheel failure
