Hi, picked up my superb se l exec 190dsg today. Overwhelmed with all the settings and gadgets but biggest puzzle is the extra key fob that came with car. It has a picture of what looks luke a demisting windscreen and an off button. My car doesn't have heated windscreen. Anyone shed any light on this?

Without seeing a photo it's impossible to know for sure, but an educated guess would be it is used for activating the 'Webasto remote controlled diesel warmer'. It pre-warms the engine and cabin, a normal add on here in Sweden.

Ha! If only I looked at Guernsey donkeys post before opening my mouth. It's all there...

That does sound like a Webasto remote control -- Question is... is it fitted to the car ?

Thankyou all so much. That is exactly what it is, can't believe dealership or Skoda UK didn't know. I must have a 2017 model and a 2016 manual ???? I couldn't upload a pic as these are my first posts and the site won't let me.... I now know what it is.... But it doesn't work ???? it just flashes intermittently, now I need to figure out how to sync it back up with the car. Gonna be tricky seeing as my dealership don't even know what it is. Any ideas? The Webasto is not a spec offered for UK cars.

 

So, what you have here is a build error and its been fitted by mistake or a remote control only and it not fitted on the car.
