Had the Talex for a couple of weeks now and I can honestly say that it really does work. No false alerts the other direction, absolute bang up to date database. When I went to Liverpool, it picked up EVERYTHING. The reminder to distance of camera etc is spot on as well as the countdown. I find it makes me drive with more care than before and the 2 hour alert of 'consider taking a break' and 1 hour GPS time checks are excellent to keep you regulary updated.

I leave mine on the dash overnight as well. It uses no power plus I move the switch to D/L (download) and a red led lights up on it. This looks like an additional theft deterrent.

The unit is very small and portable and it finds the satellites very quickly. The updates are a doddle to do (once your connected via the internet).
