Swing radio coding

Featured Replies

Hi,

Little 'un has shoved a pound coin into the Mrs' Swing radio...I've managed to get into the dash and can see the coin inside but I need to remove the radio from the car to recover it.

Am I right in thinking, since the radio is "coded to the car", I won't have to worry about taking it out overnight? In other words, some radios only hold their code for a couple of hours or so but I think this doesn't apply to this unit (?) so when I plug it back in again and turn the ignition on, everything should sort itself out after a few mins (?)

Thanks

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the case but I've never taken that unit out of any of my Fabia's so can't be 100% sure from experience. But as you say, the unit is coded to the car so should sort itself out I'd have thought.
