Superb 2012 clock spring problem

Featured Replies

While driving the 2012 superb suddenly the airbag light came on and what I figured later, horn, multifunction buttons on steering wheel and cruise control stopped working. So there was a clear solution: Clock spring module was faulty. Original part number was 5K0 953 569 B. After a bit of research, I found out that there are also some other part numbers compatible and I found a  5K0 953 569 AE on ebay, which should be ok. Then I fitted it in the car and deleted an airbag error. So the airbag light went away and the horn is now working. BUT there is still a problem with MF and cruise control. Buttons on the steering wheel are dead and cruise control does not work.

Does anybody know if I should reset/adapt something with VCDS? Otherwise I think the module could be faulty..

I've replaced the clock spring with a brand new one but, the time and other electricals do not work. The horn is okay and the connection to my I phone is going but nothing else. Faulty part? Any one able to help?

I had to change the clock spring on a 2004 Seat Toledo several years ago and had to code it to the car with VCDS. It also needed to be calibrated for the traction control to work.
