One touch opening

Featured Replies

Since getting my Octavia in June I have had an intermittent (most days but not all the time) with my drivers window one touch opening. Been to dealer but naturally it works when I get there and they tell me they can't do anything if it's working. ALL the windows go up and down with the global feature so I suspect the switch. Anyone with this problem or any ideas.

Can you be more descriptive what the issue is?

What do you mean by "global feature" and what is the window-button doing/not doing?

I ask this because I've had an issue with mine (3 months old) whereas I've got the setting (whatever it's called... comfort or convenience or something) where I can press the button either up or down until it "clicks" slightly, and then release, and the window continues to move.... which is what I want.  Sometimes called "auto" windows on other cars.

But sometimes the window just stops (front windows only - the rears work fine) when I release the button, no matter how "hard" I press it after it's "clicked"

And when I first got my OBD dongle, the only error messages were to do with front passenger and front drivers door electrics in the windows.. something a limit setting not set or something like that...... but I've never fiddled with any settings since, and now those error messages are gone!  But the window buttons still don't always work for the "auto" function.

The global feature is the opening or closing of all windows via the key fob.

My issue is exactly the same problem you have.

I have this exact issue.

I have tried resetting by holding up the buttons but still no joy.

I press the button so it clicks for auto down and it doesn't roll the window down. Sometimes it does on the 2nd click. Happens both sides.

Very annoying.

Thread from the dead...

try: window all the way down. Hold for 2 secs. Then all the way up, hold for 2 secs. Back down, hold for two secs. Now try the "auto" again. Repeat for each window with an issue.

I had the same issue on my SEL, no global opening or closing or one touch opening and closing. Easy fix was open the windows, close and hold the button for 1 second. No need to go up and down. Did the same for all 4 windows and now the global function works.
