Hi guys got a mk1 VRS Octavia with an anoying misfire, around low RPM.

Temp gauge didn't worknow so I've changed the sensaw. Bit better but still intermittent. Did throw up a code but stupidly cleared ithe before reading code.

Have been told fault could be related to thermostat and temperature sensor.

The only way to tell is to scan really.

A missfire could be indicative of a number of issues unfortunately.

But first port of call is I'd check the coil packs, easily removed by removing electrical connector and pulling up and away from engine.

Easiest way to see if one has 'gone' is the smell, it'll have an unusual smell compared to the others.

Jamiep86...is spot on.. when your boosting is kinda on then off??? Really hesitant??? Just changed all my coils and miss fire sorted
