Playing with my new SE Sport and the brochure said it had a WiFi hotshot which I can see both WiFi Hotshot and WLAN within the settings but I assumed this was how you access Smartgate?

If I don't have a sim card and smartgate etc, are these to take your phones personal Hotspot and share it with others?

Smartlink complains about a code and I can't see anything else nor a smartgate WiFi SSID.

If I enable WLAN, I can access the WiFi but none of the skoda apps work.

Any thoughts?

Is Smartgate standard on the SE sport?

The Amundsen WiFi hotspot is to share your mobiles data connection with occupants of the car.

Smartlink, if fitted is to connect a mobile and use it's apps.

Smartgate is the telemetry system,for use with Skoda apps, lap timer etc.

It basically takes the signal from your phone, and passes it around the car for other people to use. Not much point really !

Thought smartgate was standard on those with WiFi connectivity?

Could be where I'm wrong though however I don't recall seeing it as an option?
